Basically I am attempting to make an HTML5 audio player but want to do the majority of the controls with canvas. Why? I want to try something new while learning something new. I have gotten everything working so far – that is, a seekable timeline, play/pause buttons, etc. – by essentially using mouse coordinates to decide what the user is clicking on.

Im mainly curious what the more experienced web developers out there think of this. Is it dumb? Is there an issue you think I may not foresee?

I’ll post some code if anyone is really interested, but I havent had any issues so far so I dont really need and troubleshooting.

This is what I am interested in. How do I create it? All I know is HTML and CSS. From all indications there is ‘jquery’ and ‘javascript’ etc, involved but I don’t even have the faintest idea where to begin using that.
Can I use my CSS page and make a new HTML page to make this? What goes where? I see they have the scripts on this page, but am unsure what should go where on my CSS and HTML page. The guys who wrote this obviously assumed people using this would somewhat know somewhat of what to do with it. Unfortunately I do not. Also, how do I incorporate JavaScript into the whole matter? Will there have be an entire different document/scripting for this? In essence, based on what I am trying to create (the galleria in the link above) could someone fill me in on all the details in regard to the scripting on the link as a step-by-step process to tell me what to put where?

No offense Moi, but your answer still does not indicate anything to me as to what I should do. If you go onto the site, sure it shows a lot of scripting but it does not say other important things like: open a notepad doc, save it as a .java (or whatever) place the lines that say (whatever it may) on your html in the body, etc. Thats what I need help with. Baby steps. I have been trying to get a gallery functioning for a couple weeks and it is holding up my website from launching.
Serious help only, please. I would certainly appreciate it.

Download the software and use this documentation: http://github.com/aino/galleria/tree/master/docs/ check out the “getting started” file it explains how to get it working…

“Get the latest and greatest version of Galleria and jQuery
Place the galleria src folder in your project.”

I believe you can copy/paste the codes they give you as long as you place the galleria src folder in your project. If you choose other folder you’ll need to modify the paths.

EDIT:

OK here we go with serious help

1. Download Galleria.

2. Extract the .zip file in your project. I just extracted the .zip inside the folder of my project, if you want to put it in other forder then just change the paths (I suppose you know how to do this) in the code I’m about to give you.

3. Copy this and paste it inside your HTML file (always do a backup).

-The code can go inside the BODY tag.

-Sorry but Y! won’t let me put the entire code, this is what is missing:

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js <-copy the entire address.
src/themes/classic/galleria.classic.js

4. Make a folder named img and put your images inside.

5. Locate the

code I just give to you and change the names of the images (pic1.jpg pic2.jpg) to match the names of the images inside the img folder.

6. Open your HTML file and enjoy Galleria.

You can make a .js file with the code and import it from your HTML file adding something like this inside your HTML file:

For personal reasons, I’d like to move to Spain in the distant future. Living in Texas bores me so I want to get out and see the world. Currently I am 17, and have looked into living abroad permanently for the past couple of months. Spain first caught my eye for a plethora of reasons; its location in Europe which allows for traveling across the continent and to North Africa, my intermediate level of knowledge about the Spanish language, and Spain’s carefree lifestyle. Since I know some Spanish, I won’t be going in blindfolded because I’d be able to communicate efficiently with the local population. Being my last year of high school I have the luxury to take it easy and prepare for a cross-continental move. I need to establish funds to move and start a new life, further develop a skill set that will enable me to get a job, and improve my Spanish. I need assistance regarding quite a few issues:

How are American expatriates treated in Spain?

As a native English speaker is there a demand for us?

How long does residency, or citizenship take for an American? I assume it is easier if you are an EU citizen.

Is there a strong demand for jobs related to Internet Marketing, front end web development, or technology; and how long would it take my to get a job in this field? Currently I know HTML5, css3, some blackhat and whitehat SEO, and am in the process of learning Javascript, jquery, and php.

How much is the cost of living in Spain to live comfortably as a single male?

What is the process of acquiring citizenship? Can you explain it to me in detail?

Should I go to University in the states and put off moving for another 4 years? Is a bachelor degree from a top U.S. public school valuable in Spain?

Culturally, what are some things I must adapt to?

How is the party scene, and how is the issue of Marijuana treated?

Marijuana is not legal! So, if you are a smoker PLEASE do NOT come. You can’t just move to Europe just because you like it. You have be offered a job first, But first they must see if anyone in spain wants it, if not they check ALL of Europe. You have to be highly Educated to get the position. a simple bachelors degree is not going to cut it.
As a native English speaker from America YOU will NOT be able to teach at their school even if you had a degree in English as a second language. It must be someone from Britain to teach English there. An American is not allowed to teach English in Europe.

Run your site in Firefox with the Firebug addon. When you get errors go to the lines causing the error (Firebug makes it trivially easy) and see if you can figure out the problem. If not, post the line causing the error and enough before and after it for us to understand what’s causing it.

Best is a simple JS with mouse over. Which Opens a Menu. HTML 5 also allows some object oriented programming too

I use < asp:radiobuttonlist and have 2 radio’s.. e.g. YES / NO.

I want to able to give to the user when he pressed YES or NO click should be able to undo by clicking again YES or NO.

e.g. user clicks on YES but he says no I will answer this later… So he can’t undo anymore… s(He) must choice YES or NO.

Is there a way e.g. when the user clicks on YES, yes is selcedted, when when he clicks again YES (radiobutto) that it should be unclicked…. results should be : yes and no should be not filled/clicked/selected?

I use asp:radiobuttonlist and I don’t want to add 3rd radio button as option. just want to able to give the user when he clicks again on the same or selected item it should be unselected….. RESULTS: Both or unselected.

I need to think in the direction Jquery. right?
